Virgil Schmidt, who was Senior Warden of our Lodge, passed away on Wednesday, March 17th.
The funeral was held Monday, March 22nd at our Masonic Temple, located at 15th St. and 2nd Ave. in Safford.

Safe House awarded grant from Masonic Charities
The Mount Graham Safe House was one of 11 Arizona agencies to be awarded a $1,500 grant from Masonic Charities of Arizona.
The Safford-based organization provides services to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Graham and Greenlee counties as well as the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The nonprofit group also has an abuse-prevention education program.
"We are dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence in the communities that we serve and work diligently in promoting awareness and education in schools and communities," Jeanette Aston, MGSH executive director, said.
