Awarded Grant - September 10, 2010
The Mount Graham Safe House was one of 11 Arizona agencies to receive grants recently from Masonic Charities of Arizona. The amount awarded to the Mount Graham Safe House was $2,000.
The Safford-based organization provides services to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Graham and Greenlee counties, as well as the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The Safe House also offers an abuse-prevention education program.
"We are dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence in the communities that we serve," said Jeanette Aston, Mount Graham Safe House executive director. "We work diligently in promoting awareness and education in schools and communities."

Masonic Charities of Arizona is an Arizona nonprofit corporation organized for the purpose of relieving human suffering by making grants from its endowment fund to Arizona health and welfare agencies.

The Mount Graham Safe House was one of 11 Arizona agencies to be awarded a $1,500 grant from Masonic Charities of Arizona on December 30th, 2009
The Safford-based organization provides services to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Graham and Greenlee counties as well as the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The nonprofit group also has an abuse-prevention education program.
"We are dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence in the communities that we serve and work diligently in promoting awareness and education in schools and communities," Jeanette Aston, MGSH executive director, said.
Board member of Masonic Charities, Bob Richards of Tucson, presented the award to MGSH. "It is obvious that Mount Graham Safe House provides vital services to people in need in its service area, and we are pleased to make this award," Richards said.
